Create an account at www.Screencast-o-Matic.com
Create a tutorial using Screencastomatic to illustrate (to someone who has never heard of or used Photosynth) the steps in creating a synth. This exam is to test whether you are able to learn a new technology without instruction and to use it for a purpose and to test your ability to create a good Photosynth. You may create a short test tutorial first to experiment if you wish (highly suggested!)
This person, by following your instructions in the tutorial, should be able to
create a Photosynth at 100% synthed
upload a synth to a website such as a wiki
view the Photosynth in 3D, 2D, overhead, and point cloud format
edit (or re-create) the Photosynth if it is not 100% synthed
You may use pictures from the Interactive Design Pickup folder for your tutorial. Create a small Photosynth--approximately 20 - 50 pictures.Use a microphone to record some instructions in audio.
3. Save your tutorial in a Windows Media (AVI) format as PhotosynthTutorialFirstName. Upload your finished tutorial to the project wiki to the Exam Part 2 - Photosynth page in the Nav sidebar. Again, type your name first, then embed your tutorial as a video widget underneath your name.
